The Mount Royal story started when local resident Andre Halvorsen facilitated a transaction which included land owned by well-known farmer Mr. Jopie de Kock of the farm De Grendel and the Swartland Municipality with Gerry Rehrl, a Cape based Property Developer who shared the vision to develop a residential estate incorporating the Malmesbury golf course and the natural environment to create a new development zone for Malmesbury.
